Choose Beach Accommodation In Europe This Summer

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Have you always dreamed of waking up in the morning to the noise of waves gently breaking on the beach and to be able to open your door and breathe in the fresh sea air knowing that one more day in paradise lies in front of you? Well your vision might be much closer than you think if you decide to vacation away from the crowd and rent your own beach villa for your next vacation.

If you have never thought about renting your own beach villa or beach apartment house why not? Not only does it make fantastic financial sense but you get to decide who you spend your time with as well. No more fighting for a sun lounger next to a pool of screaming kids or having to put up with the noisy comings and goings of the 18-30 brigade in the middle of the night.

Renting a beach villa for a grouping of people is far more economical than staying in a inn and there are a number of fantastic bargains to be had as well. They additionally give you the independence to decide when and where you have your meals and to arrange your day as you see fit so if you choose to have breakfast at 10.30 you can do.

Some of the most well-liked beach accommodation is in the Caribbean which has some genuinely astounding beaches and splendid weather for the majority of the year. Europe is still a great destination for people on a budget as there are a number of great bargains to be had as people are still feeling the effects of the credit crunch so there is not as much competition as usual for beach rentals.

If you love the beach there is just one way to make the most of your vacation and that is with your own beach villa. Being able to watch the sun go down (or come up) from your own balcony is a unique experience and one that you will never fail to remember.

American Cars

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Although there’s a lot of hum out there about foreign made cars, for my muscle, they just don’t have the same soul as American vehicles. Yes, there are a ton of Eastern vehicles that can go quicker, and last better than most Yankee automobiles, but none have the grace and sweetness of a Snake or a corvette. These Yankee muscle vehicles are the stuff the dreams of generations were formed by, with their speed, their power, their luxury, and their hot styling.

Long before the times of the compact and efficient rice burners, street hogging, gas guzzling American cars actually ruled the entire world, as the Yankee empire did. Naturally, in a lot of ways those days are gone, and I guess that it’s right that they won’t come again. Chrysler has been acquired by Daimler Benz, and the other Yank automobile firms do such a lot of their producing over seas that it’s a real challenge to even think about their automobiles as Yank.

Yet, notwithstanding the cut backs and the layoffs, and all of that, some of the meaning of Yank automobiles still continues on the roads today. For my money, if you’re a fan of Yankee sports cars, you mustn’t buy the computer controlled, excessively slick machines of today, but get one of the more trendy vehicles of yesterday. The 50s, and to a degree, the sixties were where it was at re Yank vehicles. That was the age of the all steel frame that would hold together like no-one’s business, of the huge, heavy solid Yankee vehicles that would square up to years and years of abuse.

That was a long time before the distortion of unibody construction kicked in, when men were men, and Yank automobiles were automobiles. Perhaps those days are gone, but the autos from those days at least a lot of them are still on the road today, and many of them can be had by any fairly well off collector. There’s nothing better than the roar of an old, bored out v8 engine under the roof of one of the classic Yankee vehicles, and that is no lie. One other thing.
